Quinton Robinson – From Practice to Performance – A Drummer’s Journey to Broadway and Beyond:

Had the pleasure of watching this amazing drummer again, not realizing at first that he’s the drummer for the Broadway musical Hamilton. He performed tracks from the musical as well as his own original compositions. Truly a musical treat for the ears!

Alphonse Young Jr. – Drumset FUNdamentals:

Practice OLD, Play YOUNG was an engaging session focused on revitalizing traditional practice methods and materials. Alphonse showcased how classic resources like Ted Reed’s Syncopation for the Modern Drummer, Wilcoxon’s Swing Snare Solos, and George Stone’s Stick Control and Accents and Rebounds can be applied in fresh, contemporary musical contexts. He also shared how he incorporates these books and concepts into his teaching and playing. 

Nir Z – Both Sides of the Glass:

He shared how to approach a song and understand the recording technique in a studio setting, while bringing your stylistic influences into the session. A treat to learn about being top notch studio drummer and what he does daily in Nashville.

Trevor Lawrence – Versatility. Authenticity and the Contemporary Drummer:

He explained the concepts that he embraced to be able to exist in multiple musical situations as a drummer and music director. As technology progresses, how we are loosing the value of skill and he intend on explaining how important that is as well as musical and genre integrity. Key words from Trevor, Your ego is not your amigo.

Jamison Ross – “Soulmates”: The Drummer’s Relationship Between Rhythm and Melody:

He shared on melody is so important in his playing and what’s his approach towards his style and how he execute different gig situation. He loves singing and playing drums.

George Schwindt – The Business Side of Drumming: A Watched Pot Always Boils:

He shared on intellectual property in the music industry and best practices for generating more income – on top of the traditional incomes of teaching and performance fees. He shared whats include the basics of copyright law, available streams of income whether you’re a performer, composer, session musician, producer.Ge cover the upsides and the pitfalls, plus Collective Management Organizations (CMOs) and advocacy organizations.

Art Cruz – Rhythm Alchemy: Collaboration and Personal Expression:

He shared his music journey and timeline of his career with Lamb of God. A review of his 5 mindsets: Facing the challenges while entering an established act; navigating pivots in your career; getting uncomfortable; building relationships; and taking your playing to the next level.
